Even after trying to ignore parental pressure and their sometimes unreasonable requirements, many of these qualifications are still ingrained in me and my generation alike.Just like my parents, financial stability and a respectable career are basic prerequisites that seem to unconsciously take precedence over many other traits in younger generations.As a strong-minded Asian American woman, I embody characteristics that are quite the opposite of the submissive stereotype, and know many Asian men who break the boundaries of their misconstrued identity as well.Over time, I have learned that the best approach is to shed those misconceptions and instead focus on the person in front of me.Each region is often represented by three ancestral items.For example, Guangdong is represented by chenpi, aged ginger and hay.
Interracial Dating Although dating a nice Chinese doctor may be at the top of my parents’ wishes, dating people from other cultures and backgrounds is not out of the realm of possibility.

Chinese language, ceramics, architecture, music, dance, literature, martial arts, cuisine, visual arts, philosophy, business etiquette, religion, politics and history have a profound impact on the world, while its traditions and festivals are also celebrated, instilled and practiced by people around Asia.
The area in which the culture is dominant covers a large geographical region in eastern Asia with customs and traditions varying greatly between provinces, cities, and even towns as well.
With China being one of the earliest ancient civilizations, Chinese culture is extremely diverse and varying, and it has a profound effect in the philosophy, virtue, etiquette and traditions of Asia to date.
